Children's Ministry
The mission of the Children's Ministry is to provide a secure, nurturing environment where biblical truths are taught as a foundation for salvation and Christian living to the Nursery, Preschool and Children's departments of Fairfield Glade First Baptist Church and our community.
WORSHIP AND SUNDAY SCHOOL
Sunday morning the children grow spiritually through Sunday School at 9:00 a.m. in separate classes for grades 1-3, and 4-6. Classes are led by faithful teachers who desire to see your children grow in God's love and teachings. Teachers apply various approaches to effectively capture the lessons and engage the children in the current study. The students gain wisdom and insight into the Biblical principles to which we adhere. After Sunday School, they attend worship service at 10:30 a.m. in the sanctuary. For children 3rd grade and under there is Children's Church after the music time in the worship service. In Children's Church, they grow in the knowledge and love of God through the Gospel Project curriculum led by a rotation of teachers and various styles of learning.

AWANA
Through AWANA, we seek to minister to boys and girls and their families with the gospel of Christ and help them to live Christ-honoring lives. All children are welcome at Awana, regardless of religious affiliation.
At AWANA, the word of God is learned by understanding and memorizing scripture, activities, games, service, and missions. Clubbers earn awards as they memorize the word of God and complete their activities.
The goal of AWANA is "to reach boys and girls with the gospel of Christ and train them to serve Him."
The purpose of AWANA is twofold:
◦ Evangelism - to draw boys and girls from the surrounding community into the club ministry where they will hear the gospel and may accept Christ as Savior.
◦ Training - to prepare the clubbers to help fulfill the Great Commission through outreach to the lost, service to the local church and development of leadership qualities.
Our church Awana Clubs are offered to children from Kindergarten through 6th grade. They meet from August - May on Wednesday evenings, 5:30-7:30 p.m. Each evening begins with a light supper and check-in at 5:30 p.m.

Sports Camp is our annual summertime ministry that includes skills enhancement in various sports (football, soccer, basketball, cheerleading...) along with elements of Vacation Bible School. Sports Camp runs Monday - Thursday for about 8 hours each day. Children are provided with two meals a day and participate in two sport tracks per child. There are also times for worship services and Bible lessons. It's a fun week for the kids that could have life-long and eternal impact.
