He is God in the flesh. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary, He lived a sinless human life and gave Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on a cross. After three days, He arose from the dead. His substitutionary death on the cross made provision for the redemption of men from sin... He ascended into Heaven and is now exalted at the right hand of God where He is the One Mediator, fully God, fully man, in whose person is effected the reconciliation between God and man. He will return someday in power and glory to judge the world to consummate His redemptive mission. He now dwells in all believers as the living and ever present Lord. He convicts us of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment. He calls us to the Savior and effects regeneration. At the moment of regeneration He baptizes every believer into the Body of Christ. He cultivates Christian character, comforts believers, and bestows the spiritual gifts by which they serve God through His church. He seals the believer unto the day of final redemption.... About People - People are a special creation of God, made in His own image. He created them male and female as the crowning work of His creation. The gift of gender is thus part of the goodness of God's creation... By his free choice man sinned against God and brought sin into the human race... About Salvation - Salvation involves the redemption of the whole person, and is offered freely to all who accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior... There is no salvation apart from personal faith in Jesus Christ as Lord... It includes regeneration through repentance, justification through God's grace, sanctification through the Holy Spirit, and glorification as its culmination... About the Church - A church is an autonomous local congregation of baptized believers associated by covenant in the faith and fellowship of the Gospel... Members of the church are united together in part through Christian baptism by immersion and through partaking of the Lord's Supper, both as symbolic acts of salvation and God's grace... The local church seeks to extend the Gospel to the ends of the earth. The New Testament speaks also of the church as the Body of Christ which includes all of the redeemed of all the ages, believers from every tribe, tongue, people, and nation. About Eternal Security - Election is the gracious purpose of God... and is consistent with the free agency of man... All true believers endure to the end. Those whom God has accepted in Christ, and sanctified by His Spirit, will never fall away from the state of grace, but shall persevere to the end... Believers may fall into sin through neglect and temptation... yet they shall be kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation. Either we will exist eternally separated from God by sin in hell, or we will exist eternally with God through forgiveness and salvation in Heaven. There are no other possibilities.
