Pastor Doug Elders - Senior Pastor
Pastor Doug and his wife, Kay Lynn, were married in 1984. They have two grown sons and the best granddaughter ever! He transitioned to pastoral ministry in 1995 after an 8-year career as a chemical/environmental engineer. He earned Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry degrees from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City, MO. Prior to coming to Fairfield Glade he served as the senior pastor in a church in Wyoming, two churches in Missouri, and as an ESL teacher in Russia. Dr. Elders serves on the mission field whenever he gets the opportunity. He encourages the church’s involvement in hands-on ministry and missions. Those are frequent themes in his preaching and teaching. That includes leading the church to leave the comforts of its own surroundings to serve locally and globally in an Acts 1:8 way. Doug and Kay Lynn enjoy hiking, visiting National Parks, and meeting bears (well, maybe not so much meeting bears!) Doug also enjoys hunting, fishing and playing basketball. Jon Jones - Associate Pastor
Pastor Jon and Adriene have been married for 8 years. They have two children Jamie (5) and Jolynne (3). For the last five years they have been foster parents to numerous children and helped share God's love with the children and parents. Pastor Jon graduated from North Greenville University with a BA in Christian Studies. He then went to New Orleans Baptist Seminary and earned a MDiv with a specialization in Counseling. He also served in the S.C. and L.A. Army National Guard. Pastor Jon is passionate about people and serving the Lord. He has served at two churches with a primary emphasis on students and their families. Pastor Jon became a Christian as a teenager and understands the importance of students having someone in their lives. For him, it was his grandmother who he went to live with as a teenager after losing his mother. He loves working with students and helping them grow as disciples and servants. Pastor Jon and his family love the outdoors. They enjoy camping, hiking, fishing, and geocaching. When not outdoors, they enjoy playing board games and cooking. They love meeting new people and hearing their stories. |

Jeremy Cole joined the staff of First Baptist Church in January, 2019. Jeremy and his wife, Emmalee, are Crossville natives and currently reside in Crossville. He was raised by his grandparents who had him in the church building every time the doors were open. He has been involved in programs in the church since he was young and continues to have a heart for service inside the church. He attended Tennessee Technological University where he received his Bachelor’s in K-6 Education. Sheri Pitroski - Church Administrator
Sheri Pitroski and her husband, Michael, have called Crossville/Fairfield Glade home since the beginning of 2006. She opened a new business, The Yarn Patch, in April, 2006 and quickly became part of the local community. Sheri and Michael were baptized and joined First Baptist Church Fairfield Glade in June of 2006, and both became involved in various ministries of the church. Sheri became part of the Audio/Video team and took the lead in the Video area when the new church was built on Towne Centre Way in 2012. That remains one of her passions; to volunteer her skills to help facilitate worship services and special events. She continued to run her successful business on Peavine Road and hired a shop manager when she came to work at First Baptist Church as the Assistant Church Administrator in January 2017. She accepted the position of Church Administrator in January 2019. By God’s grace, she sold The Yarn Patch in early 2019 (God’s perfect timing!) and was able to put her focus on the ministry of working for God and her church family, and supporting the ministries of FBC. Along with Michael and their three dogs, Sheri loves to go camping whenever possible in their small RV. She still loves to knit and crochet and continues to design and teach knitting classes at The Yarn Patch. |
